In a world so fast paced and outcome oriented, I am help you slow things down and focus on the process. My work is holistic in nature, I believe to live joyfully, one must attend to the connection between mind, body, and soul. My goal is to establish an empowering, safe, respectful, and trusting relationship with you, where we can work together to explore your inner world. I passionately believe that although we are often categorized under similar labels, the individual’s perception of their experience is unique. As a psychotherapist, I follow a person-centered approach where each client is viewed as the expert of their own story.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and I received a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge (2021). My experience in the mental health field comes from working in a homeless shelter for at-risk youth, private practice settings, and continued education. Through my experience working in different therapeutic settings, I learned to work with diverse client populations and varying mental health concerns/disorders. The homeless shelter specifically prepared me to work with individuals facing homelessness, human trafficking, crisis, substance abuse, and severe mental health. This work cultivated a passion for working with trauma, interpersonal issues, emotion regulation, and mental health disorders, as well as, encouraged continued education in these areas.
My approach to treatment is tailored to the individual and the presenting concern. My role is to facilitate you in achieving your personal goals while also finding new ways to enhance joy and functionality in your daily life. I offer a non-judgemental, non-oppressive, and trauma-informed therapeutic environment, where you can be yourself. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on this journey.
Performance Interests: After a long time of not engaging in sports or consistent physical activity, I decided to join a group fitness class. I now work out 5 times a week and absolutely love it. The positive impact it is has on my mindset, body, soul, and social life is unmatched! My other interests include yoga, swimming, skating, and hiking with my dogs.
