Sonely Bulchandani
With over 10 years of strength and mindset coaching, I have come to see the value of combining the training of the mind and body. My approach as a therapist evolves from this, appreciating the uniqueness of each individual. As an athlete myself, I am fascinated by what our minds can do and how we, as individuals, have the power to create our own story and journey.
Providing culturally sensitive, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive therapy is one of the key focuses of my practice. Born in Nigeria, in a South-Asian Indian family, I have had a culturally rich upbringing that encouraged and fostered multiculturalism throughout my life. While in Nigeria, I attended a Lebanese school that furthered my curiosity and appreciation for diversity and inclusiveness. Coming from an ethnically diverse background, I appreciate the differences and uniqueness of collectivistic and individualistic societies.
I work to provide support and guidance when life can sometimes feel derailed. I believe everyone has strengths, and sometimes we may need direction along with the right tools to navigate through various paths. While I see my clients as the experts of their own lives, my goal is to guide and support you on your journey to healing, whilst maintaining healthy outcomes and positive development.
I am working in consultation and training with Kim Foster Yardley, the founder of The Mental Game Clinic. I look forward to working with you and supporting you to get to where you want to be.
Performance Interests: I compete in natural bodybuilding and made it to the top 6 in nationals. I am a firm believer in strength training. My other career is as a strength and mindset coach. I enjoy hiking and I am currently learning to enjoy long distance biking.
