What’s one thing you wish more people knew about therapy or mental performance coaching?
I wish more people knew that therapy is not only about reducing distress—it’s also about discovering inner strengths and building the resilience to thrive. The therapeutic process can help you overcome immediate challenges while also equipping you with tools to grow, adapt, and succeed in both your personal and professional life. Therapy is a proactive investment in clarity, confidence, and self-development.

Who are you and what led you to this work?
With over eight years of clinical experience, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the transformative impact of therapy on people’s lives. I began my psychology journey in 2013, completing both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Soon after, I opened my own practice, treating a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and addictions, with a particular focus on substance use disorders and supporting lasting recovery for individuals and families.

I am fluent in Spanish and bring cultural sensitivity to my work, especially when helping newcomers to Canada navigate culture shock, immigration challenges, and transition-related stressors. My passion for this work comes from seeing how therapy can not only provide relief, but also unlock personal and professional growth.

What is your approach to therapy or mental performance coaching?
My style is collaborative and client-centered. I draw from humanistic, psychoanalytic, and cognitive-behavioral approaches, tailoring the process to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. I focus on empowering clients to uncover their inner resources, harness their strengths, and apply them to overcome challenges. This approach helps people cultivate resilience and psychological flexibility that can be applied in both personal and professional contexts.

What areas do you focus on?
• Depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety
• Substance use disorders and recovery
• Stress, burnout, and life transitions
• Addictions and family support
• Cultural adjustment and immigration challenges
• Leadership resilience and performance optimization
• Personal growth and self-development

What types of clients do you typically work with?
I work with a wide variety of clients, from those seeking healing for mental health concerns to high performers looking to refine their mindset. I especially enjoy working with entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals navigating high-stakes environments, where the pressure to perform can impact mental health, focus, and overall well-being.

How do you help clients overcome mental roadblocks and perform at their best?
I help clients identify the thought patterns and emotional roadblocks that may be holding them back. Through insight-building and skill-based interventions, we develop adaptive strategies that foster clarity, confidence, and resilience. For leaders and professionals, this work often translates into stronger decision-making, emotional regulation under stress, and sustainable performance in demanding environments.

What evidence-based methods or strategies do you use?
I integrate humanistic, psychoanalytic, and cognitive-behavioral techniques to provide a flexible and effective approach. In my work with substance use and addiction, I apply evidence-based strategies that support long-term recovery and resilience. With high performers, I incorporate performance psychology techniques to optimize focus, adaptability, and leadership presence.

What can a client expect in their first session with you?
Our first session is about getting to know you—your story, your goals, and the challenges you’re facing. I create a collaborative and non-judgmental space where you can share openly, while I listen closely to understand your needs. Together, we’ll start mapping out a tailored plan that aligns with your goals, whether those are healing, growth, or performance-focused outcomes.

What makes your work at The Mental Game unique?
What makes my work at The Mental Game Clinic unique is the integration of deep clinical expertise with applied strategies for performance. I combine my background in treating complex mental health issues—such as addictions and mood disorders—with performance psychology techniques that support resilience and adaptability. This allows me to help clients not only manage challenges but also excel in leadership, entrepreneurship, and high-pressure environments with clarity and confidence.

Performance Interests
Sports have always been a meaningful part of my life. My dad is a tennis coach, so I grew up on the court and competed as a teenager. Today, I continue to enjoy tennis while also playing soccer recreationally with my local team. I’m also passionate about basketball. These pursuits keep me grounded, balanced, and connected to the values of discipline and teamwork that I bring into my work.
