What’s one thing you wish more people knew about therapy or mental performance coaching?
I wish more people knew that therapy isn’t just about “fixing” problems—it’s about unlocking your potential and creating meaningful, lasting change. Even when you’re high-functioning or successful, you can still feel stuck or disconnected. Therapy offers a space to reflect, recalibrate, and strengthen the skills that help you thrive—whether that’s building resilience, managing stress, or enhancing how you show up in your personal and professional life.
Who are you and what led you to this work?
I have endless passion for the therapeutic process and a deep belief in its ability to transform lives. Fascinated by the brain and its power to both help and hinder us, I work from a holistic perspective that considers the biological, psychological, spiritual, and social dimensions of human experience.
I prepared for this work with a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor and am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. My professional experience is wide-ranging, including crisis intervention, palliative support, expressive arts therapies, trauma care, HIV support, and work with substance use challenges. Each of these experiences has reinforced my commitment to supporting people through life’s toughest challenges while also helping them build a foundation for growth and fulfillment.
What is your approach to therapy or mental performance coaching?
I use a person-centered approach rooted in respect for your expertise in your own life. With curiosity and compassion, I help you acknowledge your strengths, identify challenges, and develop the knowledge and skills to overcome them. My practice integrates holistic and evidence-based strategies, allowing us to work together on building resilience, adaptability, and clarity.
What areas do you focus on?
• Anxiety and depression
• Confidence and self-esteem challenges
• Grief, bereavement, and loss
• Anger and emotional regulation
• Trauma and stress
• Interpersonal and relationship issues
• Mental health disorders
• Life transitions and resilience-building
What types of clients do you typically work with?
I work with individuals from all walks of life, including those who may feel uncertain, stuck, or overwhelmed. I particularly enjoy working with professionals, leaders, and high performers who want to strengthen emotional intelligence, sustain focus, and navigate demanding environments with greater ease.
How do you help clients overcome mental roadblocks and perform at their best?
Whether someone is struggling with confidence, stress, or past trauma, I help them identify patterns that may be holding them back and reframe them into opportunities for growth. Through a blend of insight-oriented work, practical strategies, and skill-building, clients gain tools to regulate emotions, clarify values, and create sustainable mindset shifts. This process not only supports healing but also enhances performance in high-pressure environments such as business, leadership, and competitive settings.
What evidence-based methods or strategies do you use?
My approach integrates person-centered therapy with trauma-informed practices, expressive arts therapies, and evidence-based strategies drawn from cognitive and behavioral models. By tailoring interventions to the client’s goals, I support both personal well-being and professional effectiveness—helping clients adapt, perform, and thrive.
What can a client expect in their first session with you?
Our first session is a collaborative conversation about what brings you in and what you’d like to achieve. Together, we’ll explore your story, strengths, and challenges in a safe and supportive space. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, respected, and understood while laying the foundation for meaningful progress in therapy.
What makes your work at The Mental Game unique?
At The Mental Game Clinic, I work in consultation with Dr. Kim Foster Yardley, the founder, and I value being part of a team that combines clinical expertise with performance psychology. What makes our work unique is how we integrate therapy with practical strategies to help clients not only heal but also excel in their personal and professional lives. I focus on helping people move past obstacles, strengthen resilience, and align their mindset with their goals—whether they’re navigating life transitions, leading teams, or striving for high performance.
Performance Interests
I’ve been active in the performing arts for most of my life—I sing, play the flute, and have sung and acted professionally for both stage and screen. I also spent years as an improviser and trained later in life as a dancer, which I still enjoy today. Sports have also been a big part of my journey—I played soccer for 17 years and still love running. These experiences have shaped my appreciation for creativity, discipline, and perseverance—qualities I now bring into my work with clients
