Kim Foster Yardley
Most of my clients are already at the top of their game. BUT, they know if they make a few mental shifts they will be well on their way to greatness. Here's the problem. With all the pressure they are dealing with, self-doubt, stress and low confidence creep in. At times, they feel like they struggle with motivation and focus, have been paralysed by indecision and hesitate when they need to act. Sound like you? I can help .
As a psychologist with a deep background in clinical and sport/performance psychology, who works almost exclusively with high performing Founders, Executives, Teams & Pro Athletes, around the world, I can help you get out of your head and into the zone. Together we'll identify how your mind is sabotaging your performance.
I'll teach you how to get in charge of your emotional state and maintain your focus so you can lead better under pressure. You'll learn how to recover faster from setbacks and how to shift from self-doubt to complete confidence when everything's on the line. I can also help your team handle stress, navigate conflict and maintain cohesion so they can get the job done.
I know how to do this because I’ve studied how the mind works for over 20 years. I first became a registered clinical psychologist back in 2004, in South Africa, where I developed my practice. A few years ago I moved to Toronto and now am registered locally as well. But with the power of the internet, I can get my clients in the game wherever they are. There’s nothing like seeing my clients go from mentally and emotionally stuck to on top of the world.
I am a registered clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and the Ontario Psychological Association. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Stellenbosch University and a Graduate Certificate in Sport Psychology from John F. Kennedy School of Psychology at National University. I am a professional member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association.
I have extensive experience as a supervisor and am passionate about mentoring the next generation of high caliber, quality therapists.
Performance Interests: I compete in amateur Taekwondo. I enjoy tennis, badminton, boxing, tai chi and yoga. I was an avid runner until injuries became an issue. My other career is as a visual artist. Little known fact about me, I write poetry and dream of publishing an anthology some day.
